It’s that time of the year my friends, it’s time for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. It’s the sale that brings together Nordstrom fans and non-Nordstrom fans in hating people who push aggressive amounts of stuff your way. (I’m legally obligated to say JK). Anyways, this isn’t your typical Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Guide.
While I will be sharing my Wish List, recommendations, and tips, I want this to also serve as a reminder that you DO NOT NEED TO BUY EVERYTHING. As a former employee of the company, I can promise you this won’t be the last time you will see these items on sale. So don’t worry if you miss out, because you will have other chances. If you haven’t seen it yet, I’ve recently finished with a spending fast, which has really helped with creating a responsible mindset before the sale starts.
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Details & Dates
The Nordstrom sale is available depending on your credit card level or points member tier. Being part of their member system is free of charge and gives you a bunch of perks that are well worth it. Depending on what tier you are in will determine when you are available to shop. Although it doesn’t give you extra discounts, it does allow you to grab your items first, before they sell out. If you already have a member tier, you can check out your access date below.
Icons: Starts July 11th
Ambassadors: Starts July 12th
Influencers: July 13th
Open to the General Public on July 17th
The sale Ends on August 6th for everyone.
The earlier you have access to the sale, the more likely it is you’ll get your desired color and size. However, as I said earlier, this isn’t the last time you’ll see these items. Typically these items will go on sale until August when the price goes up. While you can still buy them at full price, these items will usually go on sale again in November at an even lower price than the Anniversary Sale.
While you could wait until November, you do risk only a few items being available. All in all, this is to say that you don’t need to fret if you miss out. Simply keep the items on your wish list and wait a few weeks for the price to go down.
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Tips:
When it comes to shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, you need to be smart in your decision-making. The most popular items can go quickly, which means you’ll have to make instant decisions on your picks. Before you start shopping, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is the perfect time to start building your fall wardrobe. Keep in mind your fall/winter wardrobe and style before you start shopping to ensure you don’t pick things that won’t wear. Although there will be a few summer pieces on sale, try to focus on the fall seasons if you want to get the most use out of them.
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is also a perfect time to start shopping for holiday gifts, meaning you can get a head start on your gifts. Keep an eye out for things that could make for perfect gifts that don’t have an expiration date or involve determined sizing. Fixed sizing can be a trouble if the recipient happens to change sizes by the holidays. Stick with jewelry pieces or home items that can easily be stored until the winter.
Having a budget in mind will save you plenty of $$$ during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Although you’ll save on each item, you don’t want to splurge on items that you weren’t planning on spending a great deal on. Giving each item a budget before you start shopping will keep your finances in order and secure. Taking a look at the sale items prior to shopping helps give you an idea of what you’re going to spend and gives you the chance to drop items you don’t need.
My Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Wishlists
Now that we got all the details out of the way, it’s time to get to the good stuff. First, let me share with you the items that I plan to purchase during the sale or that I’m still thinking about.
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Recommendations
This next section is all about the must-haves I think you should consider if you plan to buy from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Lots of these items I don’t need or have a variation of them, which is why I didn’t include them in my wishlist. Again, I will state, these are recommendations only and I hope you’ll shop smart and won’t get carried away unnecessarily.
